Rainbow Spinnakers Sailing Club is a diverse group of sailing enthusiasts located in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, and the Chesapeake Bay area who sail on the Potomac River, the Chesapeake Bay, and beyond. Rainbow Spinnakers Sailing and Social Club provides the gay, lesbian, bisexual, straight, and transgender community opportunities to develop sailing skills and promote the community of sailing.

Night OUT at the Nationals

This year's Night OUT at the Nationals was a huge success. With 3,463 GLBT spectators, Team DC set a record attendance for this annual event which has been a hallmark summertime event for the community and opportunity to come together for a night of good fun.

Cowboy Dancing
Join our friends from the DC Cowboys and learn to dance like a...DC Cowboy! The next six week session is from September 23 - October 28 and will be held at the Church of the Pilgrims, 2201 P Street, NW. All skill levels welcome. Learn more at www.dccowboys.org.

Tuesday Night Volleyball Continues All Summer Long
One of DC's longest running sport clubs is the year-round Tuesday Night Social Volleyball League held at the Old Mackin Gym at 2200 California Street, NW. (Enter from California Street at the end of the parking lot.) Warm ups are from 7-7:30 and play is from 7:30 - 9:45. Teams are divided based on skill levels to maintain a fair level of play. $8 per person each night with a limit of 48 players each night. Want to know more? Contact Mike at dcvb@usa.com.

CRC Hall of Fame
Team DC would like to congratulate Tim Francis of the DC Sentinels for being inducted to the Coady Roundball Classic Hall of Fame.  Good luck at this year's tournament.  Go Sentinels.

Team DC works within the boarder community to dispel discrimination against LGBT people participating in sports; endows and confers scholarships upon LGBT student-athletes; provides a network of sporting outlets for the LGBT community of the Washington Metropolitan area; and promotes participation in local, regional, national, and international amateur sports competitions. Team DC is a member of the General Assembly of the Federation of Gay Games.
