DC Strokes Wins at Master's Nationals
Camden, NJ - August 8-16, 2009. DC Strokes Rowing Club won a gold medal and two bronze medals at the recent U.S. Master’s Nationals Regatta. U.S. Master’s Nationals is the most important rowing competition for Master’s rowing clubs (like DCSRC) in the U.S. DC Strokes never won a medal at the regatta before this weekend. The gold medal was won with an impressive 3:20.76. This was the fastest 4+ for the Strokes... a record they are already looking to break next year. The bronze medals were won for the Mixed 4+ and the Men’s Master 8+. The gold medal was an amazing accomplishment considering it came on day four of the regatta and with temperatures in the 90s with high humidity. A great victory and another massive shift for DC Strokes! |
