Scholarship Application Due Date

All Team DC Student-Athlete Scholarships are awarded to self-identified lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ) student-athletes who have contributed to the sport in which they participate and enhanced the perception of the LGBTQ+ community as a result of their contributions and involvement. Candidates must demonstrate dedication to both academic and athletic excellence as well as show promise as an LGBTQ+ role model. Be sure to submit a completed applicated by Feb. 22nd, 2025.

Scholarship applicants will be notified by the end of February. Scholarship winners will be notified in writing and by phone call. Scholarship winners will be celebrated at the Team DC Night of Champions Gala, hosted at Hilton National Mall/Wharf April 5th 2025 at 6:00PM. Gala attendance is not required to receive a scholarship but is highly encouraged and free for winner and a guest. Team DC Scholars also are awarded opportunities to be ambassadors at all Team DC summer events including Team DC Pride Night OUT at Washington Nationals, Washington Spirit, Washington Mystics, DC United, Capital Pride Parade.
