The Washington DC Gaels are an LGBTQ-friendly club playing the Irish sports of hurling and Gaelic football. The Gaels have been around since 1988, teaching the sports to players from the District, Maryland, and Virginia. It doesn’t matter if you’ve played softball, lacrosse, football, soccer, or no sport at all, we’re happy to teach you the fast-paced Gaelic games we play. We play games against other local clubs throughout the year, and compete at the national level each year in the late summer. Off the field, the club hosts a variety of social events to keep the club bonds strong outside of sports as well. You can learn more about Gaelic games and how to join our club on our website
