A Note From Team DC Leadership
2025 was a year defined by momentum. We strengthened the Night OUT Series, expanded membership, delivered another unforgettable Night of Champions,
and showed up for WorldPride and the Capital Cup with the kind of scale our community deserves.
We also embraced an important organizational evolution: Team DC is now led by an all-volunteer working board with no paid staff.
That transition isn’t just a change—it’s a commitment to shared ownership, stronger governance, and a broader base of leaders building Team DC’s future together.

Night OUT Series
2025 solidified Night OUT as a defining Team DC platform: Pride Nights that bring teams, leagues, fans, and partners together—showing that LGBTQ+ athletes belong everywhere, including the biggest stages in sports.

Night of Champions Gala
Our premier annual celebration honored outstanding leaders and partners across LGBTQ+ sports. We also recognized the Washington Nationals on the 20th anniversary of the first Night OUT—connecting today’s momentum to decades of impact.

For the second year in a row, Team DC awarded 9 scholarships to graduating high school student-athletes—our record high, again.
These awards support college expenses and help student-athletes take the next step with confidence.

Capital Cup brought our community together at a scale that’s hard to overstate—over 3,000 participants and deep collaboration across 18 member organizations plus additional partners.

WorldPride: Visibility + Fundraising for Teams
Team DC’s WorldPride presence included the Welcome Center in Chinatown, festival activation and booth, and fundraising
for our teams through three days of Beverage Gardens—turning celebration into direct community support.
