Team DC interviewed Tom Moreno from Capital Tennis Association

Team DC: How long have you played the sport or participated in the activity of your Team DC member club?

Tom Moreno: 20+ years, past 4 years with CTA

TDC: When did you first start playing/participating?

TM: Varsity in high school, on and off for a while, back playing consistently for 5 years now

TDC: What advice do you offer LGBTQ+ youth who are interested in your sport/activity?

TM: Don’t be afraid if you aren’t perfect at the start, if it interests you go ahead and pick it up, try it out and be sure to have fun with it!

TDC: What is your favorite part of being a member of an LGBTQ+ team?

TM: Camaraderie and being able to hang out with people who have similar interests and life experiences…and get in some exercise to boot!
