Team DC has teamed up with Nellie’s Sports Bar to provide free meals to front-line workers here in Washington.
We all know the toll that this ongoing pandemic has on our healthcare workers and other front-line staff, especially as time wears on.
Nellie’s began providing free meals to express thanks several months ago, and we want to help them continue this great service.
Team DC asked member clubs (and any individuals) who want to support Nellie’s and our front line workers for a contribution of $50 that we combine with other donations to meet a minimum delivery threshold of $200 as many times as we could. So far, our community has really stepped up to this effort, and we’re extremely grateful for all who have contributed both time and money to this effort.
Nellie’s and Team DC will give teams lots of credit and photos and let you know where the meals are delivered—see below for some photos. Every donation goes to pay for meals and delivery!
Contact Executive Director Brent Minor for more information or to make a contribution.
