Team DC’s Night OUT series is a groundbreaking initiative that brings the LGBTQ+ community together to celebrate inclusivity in sports by partnering with all of Washington, DC’s major professional teams. Launched in 2004, the series started with the Washington Nationals (MLB) and has grown to include Night Out events with the Capitals (NHL), Wizards (NBA), Mystics (WNBA), Commanders (NFL), D.C. United (MLS), and Spirit (NWSL), making DC the only region in the country where every major pro team participates in an LGBTQ+ Pride event. The series fosters visibility and unity, drawing thousands of fans each year to celebrate diversity and inclusion within the sports community.
